Common questions about our pieces, printing, and orders.
What material are the pieces made from?
All of our pieces are printed with eco-friendly PLA (polylactic acid) plastic. PLA is plant-based, biodegradable, and one of the safest 3D printing materials available. It produces a smooth, detailed finish that holds colour well.
Are they safe for young children?
Our pieces are display collectables — not toys designed for rough play. They contain small parts and fine details that can break if dropped or mishandled. We recommend them for ages 6 and up, and ask that very young children are kept away from them. Always supervise children around these pieces.
How long does printing take?
Each piece takes 4–8 hours to print, depending on its size and complexity. After printing, we inspect and clean it before packing. Made-to-order pieces typically dispatch within 5–7 business days.
Can I request a custom colour that isn't in the colour picker?
Possibly! We have a wide range of filament colours beyond what's shown in the picker. Send us an email at hello@issy3d.com.au with what you're after and we'll let you know if we can do it.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet — we currently ship Australia-wide only. International shipping is on our list. Sign up to our newsletter to be the first to know when it's available.
Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?
If your order hasn't started printing yet, we can usually cancel or make changes — contact us as soon as possible at hello@issy3d.com.au. Once printing has started we can't make changes, as the piece has already been made to your spec.
What if my piece arrives broken?
We pack everything carefully, but if something does break in transit, email us within 7 days with a photo and we'll reprint and reship at no cost. We stand behind every piece we make.
Who designed the pieces?
Some pieces are original designs by Issy and her dad. Others are fan-favourite open designs that we've selected and print in our own colour combinations. We always note when a design is from an outside source.
